Home: Kitchen Ideas & Layout Plan.

Hello,

I know my craft room is still only around 95% finished, but awaiting payday to get more money to be able to finish it off.  In the mean time I have been concidering the ideas for the kitchen and we're thinking of removing the chimney breast to allow for more livable space.

Here's so photo shares of our Kitchen before we moved in:

And then we demolished the "breakfast bar".

Anyway, we're now looking into having the chimney breast removed so I have made a start ...lol.  I measured the kitchen in " (inches) not down to the very last point of an inch (except for in some obvious cases such as .5 and .8) then I mapped out and recreated the floor plan to scale of the measurements I took (which all added up btw) and then shrunk the image due to it litterally being the size of my kitchen floor plan so it's less of a to scale now, but hopefully you get the idea and I can do more accurate measurements when required.

I was also looking at magnets range of kitchens and thought this one was quite nice, it's very very similar to the other house like ours we saw (cupboard fronts and tops and very very similar wall colours too which goes well) and then I was thinking a black floor would look better.  Did I mention with silver walls??

Here's some other pictures from the same "range" of cupboards (Innsbruck) found at: http://www.magnet.co.uk/kitchen-ranges/all-kitchens/innsbruck

Anyways,  I've had a little scout about online and sent off some emails regarding anyone who could remove just the downstairs chimney breast (upstairs is wardrobes and happy to leave them in if possible) ...also the other side of the chimney breast is obviously the livingroom so not a neighbour lol...  Then we need to plaster ...all the cupboards and such currently in the kitchen have been plastered in and then all the walls are plaster and painted yellow...  YUK!!  We'll see how that goes until we're next in town and can ask about in Wickes, B&Q, Homebase etc etc...  :)
