My Current Craft Storage - February 2016

So I wanted to upload the 'stills' of how my arts / crafts storage stuff is going..  It has been requested that I do a tour once I'm finished reorganising stuff..  which I might do..  I'm unsure as of yet.  But for now this is how things are looking...

I have a lot of stuff in storage since I had to move back to my parents and have now taken over most of the downstairs (which is a flat and then my parents have a 2 story house above it) so I have my room and the hallway outside my room.. and then there's a livingroom which is litterally just storage contents of white goods, furniture, boxes of household stuff and crafty stuff etc.  Anyways I digress...

My desk, so super proud of myself that I built a clip up camera arm for my webcam using a desk clamp light and an altered 3 point pivot (total cost £14.15 which is about $20.38 in USD).  Which I purchased at and attached my webcam which is windows live cam 1080i (did have to trim the rubber attachment back slightly.  And had to set up my old computer which I attached to my TV as my actual PC is no where near my desk and USB cable extension wasn't powerful enough to run the cam - believe me I tried.

I totally forgot to take pictures of these white and clear plastic drawers.  But I'm sure you're all familiar with them.  House my pens, pencils, glue gun, printer paper, along side various other things.

I pretty much captioned these for the sake of video!!

I really struggled in a narrow hallway to take pictures of all these units.  I had to stand in the kitchen to take the tall book case ones, my bathroom to photograph these smaller ones with the jewellery drawers on and my bedroom to take the end small book case and display cabinet lol.

These shelves are a miss mash of pyrography, polymer clay, air dry clay and moulds, jewellery making stuff such as charms, chords, thread, necklaces, chain etc.  That pink box has kitting stuff thought I don't know hot to knit yet.  Alcohol inks, Pebeo paints and much more.

These drawers all house jewellery making stuff.
Black 1: Gold coloured, Gun metal coloured, Copper and Antique Bronze findings and chain.
Black 2: Silver plated and silver coloured and sterling silver findings and chain.
Mini drawers:  Various broken jewellery, junk, micro beads, silver plated charms and more.
Black 3: Pearl glass beads, glass beads and bead soup.
Black 4: Crackle glass beads, lampwork glass beads, other glass beads, porcelain, shell, acrylic alphabet, mixed and bottom drawer is just sead beads.
Little black boxes are mostly empty as I'm moving things around atm and hate not being able to see in storage.
Clear boxes asare 12mm pearl glass beads, up top are full of semi precious stone beads and real pearl beads.  Tub next to that is swarovski crystal beads and above that glass chip beads.
Stripey box is beads that I've turned into bead charms and not used.

Dice box has game pieces in it.
The bowl (plastic cocktail bowl) mixed embellishments, charms and junk.
The flower boxes I just got and are currently empty.
Paper flowers, Die Cuts and Chipboard pieces such as letters and other embellies.
Wooden bead soup, Mixed bead soup, Wood and coconut beads and pieces, acrylic and more..
Extras, junk jewellery, broken jewellery, packaging

Finished Jewellery Pieces Storage.

I am so proud of how this is looking.  Here's a quick collage which includes my TV setup and PC setup atm..  Heh.

Hope you enjoyed this blog :) - Imogen @ missimoinsane

Art Journaling 004 February 15th 2016

#artjournaling AJ-P4 So my fourth ever art journaling page. I don't like it but I don't hate it. I wanted to do a jigsaw cut out heart and after a lot of upset with the jigsaw I did it but it was just too bulky for the page so I cut out a heart.. Painted it pink and then used jigsaw pieces to draw around to create the jigsaw look. Pink acrylic paint and black sharpie. Ended up doing black acrylic splatters. The background I gesso'd and I punched out lots of pink hearts from card and wrote different words that mean some thing to me.. Stuck them down with mod podge matte and white washed with watered down white gesso. I outlined the hearts with a black ballpoint pen. I then painted up some of the jigsaw pieces and glued them on with glossy accents and highlighted them with white signo ubi-ball pen. Then I had used a few index cards to mop up the left over acrylic paint in pink n black so I whitewashed over that and then using a sharpie added quotes. Cut it out with my trimmer and sharpie inked around the edges then went back in with a black ballpoint pen to ass faux stitching. I stuck these to the page with double sided sticky tape and then glossy accented over most of the black drips, splats and letters. - other tools include scissors and various inexpensive brushes and water.

Art Journaling 003 February 11th 2016

#artjournaling Third Ever AJ Page. So pleased with this goldfish in a jar.. "Same Thing, Different Day!"

Info: I drew and watercoloured the old fish on one of the pages I tore out. I did the same for the jar and then cut out the two, glued the goldfish onto the jar and then using a clear sticky back plastic I covered the whole thing in that so it looks shiney like a glass jar. The I did the background and stuck the jar on.

Materials: UK A5 120gsm sketchbook paper, white gesso, cheap watercolour paints, cheap watercolour pencils, reeves watercolour pastels, graphite stick, pencil, black ballpoint pen, black edding brush pen, white signo ubi-ball pen, water, aqua brushes, scissors, double sided tape, sticky back clear plastic, glossy accents and I think that's more or less everything... Oh ruler lol.#missimoinsane

Art Journaling 001 February 7th 2016

Thought I'd try getting into art journaling since I have all the stuff and I think it would be a good outlet.  I wanted to do this before now..  But..  Erm...  Yeh...

#artjournaling first ever art journal page. UK A5 page.

About: I had no idea what to do for my first page.. Artist block? Perhaps! So I decided to gesso each page front and back... When Mumford & Sons - White Blank Page came one (I know this song isn't actually about a litteral white blank page nor artist block but it amused me!) so thus I came up with this idea. The background well I see a lot of bright backgrounds and butterflies and the two together always makes me think of art journaling and tbh love how this turned out.

Materials: cheap acrylic paints, white posca paint pen, edding black brush pen, white unicorn pen (I mean signo ubi-ball), butterfly stickers as templates, pentel 0.7 2b mechanical pencil, masking tape, kaisercraft script stamp, moment black ink, black sharpie, heat it up holographic glitter and obviously paintbrushes and heat it up gun in gesso'd UK A5 120gsm sketchbook paper.

Witchie Craftie Haul

Yeh ok so jumping on this bandwaggon of haul sharing (again) though this one a lil different.

So what did we get today?  Well first of all let me say I was actually very disappointed.  There's one charity shop I always go in and can guarentee I'll be complaining I need a basket - to be honest this time wasn't much different.  But the other charity shops ...such a let down.  Though I did see this oober amazing gypsy style bags wicca, gothic, bohemian oober lovely bag in a charity shop and they wanted £34.99 for it... I'd MAYBE have bought it at £4.99 as it was in good condition but £34.99!!!!  My goodness!  I also treated Mum (who came with) to hotchocolate with cream and marshmellows and a bacon sandwhich :3

Girly Day With Mum ~ My Treat <3

So on with the haul?  This really is in no order..

So walked into this charity shop, my eyes saw pink and I needed to have these two bottles.  It was £1.50 for the pair - which is a bargain...  The only down side to these is the corks are different sizes one is a much newer cork while the other looks much older and is smaller but fantastic condition pink stained glass bottles with flower detail perfect for potions or altered bottle decor.

In the same charity shop I found these black glass beads and I thought I could use them for a  number of reasons, lately I've been thinking about perhaps making myself a set of runes..  and these would be perfect to do that with...  Maybe... But for £1 I'm rather sure crafty me can find a use for them.  Plus in the same charity shop I also found a peachy/pink set also for £1.

In a different Charity shop (the one I always wish they had baskets) found this mirror.   Inside it has a regular mirror and a magnified mirror.  But the whole thing really is rather quite heavery...  But I wanted it and it'd be nice to keep in my bedside drawer so yep £1.49 and it came home with me.

I also found, and I was so impressed with this find.  A choker necklace with real either Amyethist or Amethyst Chevron/Banded.  I'm pretty sure it's just Amethyst though.  But loved it and lovely choker design 9 pieces of Amethyst 99p LOVE IT.

Again in the same charity shop they had this clear/lilac glass/crystal ..I want to say powder bowl for on a ladies dresser.. but I could be wrong.  It is quite large... as you can see... and super heavy.  No idea what I will use this for yet but felt super drawn to this and had to have it and at £1.99 yeh.. it of course was coming home with me :3 hhehe

Same charity shop also.. I was super drawn to this little wooden bird.  Ok.. maybe he's not quite so little (apx 3inches tall) and super heavy.  I think he's carved from real wood.  I was indecisive if I wanted to pay £1.99 for him but he seems to be in PERFECT condition and really is lovely.

Finally in the same charity shop, this silver coloured leaf bowl which I thought would make a nice altar offering bowl for 50p

In a different charity shops I came across these two egg candles.  They are silver but quite large size and I know we're coming up to Imbolc but I thought these two would be perfect for Ostara.  And at 99p each I felt they were a cracking deal.

A different charity shop again (actually the first one we went in); I stumbled upon another Ostara decor piece..  with this wooden bunny cut out egg shape decoration.  They had a lot of then in pink and green but there was just something about this one.. it seemed dirtier than the others and just looked like it had a tad more character.  New item marked down to 50p.  So yeh having that... :D

Another charity shop (Blackpool has a lot of them) I found this candle.  I don't know if I like it or not, lol.  It is brown and gold.. which I think is the reason I don't like it but amazing rose detail and a 6-7inch tall chunky candle plus it was 50p and well yeh...  that happened.

I think that's the last of the charity shop items.

Onto Poundshops etc.

So Poundland.  Bag of pebble/stones £1... and yes I know I live in Blackpool and can probably find these at the beach - and I will do this.  But right now it's too cold for disabled me to go to the beach.  But I figured I could paint/draw on these and make altar stones?  Maybe?  Gift stones...

I also bought some baskets and boxes to contain my jewellery making supplies, crafting supplies, hair brushes and general stuff supplies lol.

In the 99p Store I saw these awesome balls.  Now my Mum was with me 'cos my Sister has decided she wants a tween bedroom as she's 10 now and she wants to start having containers, makeup, organised things, jewellery and jewellery organisers etc etc.  So I saw these balls and thought my sister could have the 3 lip glosses and the 3 nail varnishes and I'll have the balls and make faux witches balls or fairy balls and hang them in my window...  So that'll be a fun craft project some time...  (99p each)

Finally Everythings a Pound.  I bought these super cute little spice jars I got 6 of them in total and figured I could store my bulkier herbs in them or the ones I wona use a lot for incense like Lavendar Flowers, Jasmine Flowers, Rose Petals, Star Anise, Cloves and well I haven't thought of a 6th one yet unless I just make a floral blend and keep that on hand.  We'll see so got 2 packets of these (£1 each)

I also got this lantern from everythings a pound and just really love it.  I wanted something I could put a tea light in as a working candle for if/when I go outside in rainy/windy weather.. And figured this was perfect shelter for said candle especailly at only £1.

I then got home to find my cats had been super super naughty.  They'd managed to open a drawer and steal the bag of catnip and shred the bag so it was all over my floor, the bed.. every where and then they'd covered this up using my new jumper, a scatter cushion and my blanket - buggers!!  But it's everywhere and they're both hight as kites. (And after I spent yesterday telling people how good they are, little buggers!!)

Ps. That's just some that was on my bed.. I didn't get a picture of the floor, drawers. pillows... ok ok it really wa everywhere...
